Report Four: ...Death is not something to get used to

 [Meryl woke up. She really...really shouldn't have been able to do that. And of course her first action is to look over to see if Vash is there. She's not really sure what she's supposed to say if he is.

Today you can find Meryl out and about. And very quiet. 

A. In the park kind of just looking at a gun in her hands.

B. Still in the park but now just practising her shooting. She seems rather stiff though, and not that much into it.

C. On the sidewalk somewhere in town. She's following a drone woman around and trying not to look sad. 

 

D. In the flower store, she's going to get a potted flower. Because it's nice to have plants around the house and they're so rare back home.]

[Now feeling safer about being outside, Himeno has taken a walk to the park. She's happy to see Meryl there alive, since she heard from Vash that she had died. They had only had one conversation before, but she was glad to see her safe. She approaches quietly.]

[She sighs.]

I'm pretty sure.....I could have killed the person who killed me last week.

Is there a house option? Because that's where they'd see each other.

[Vash rolled over in bed, turning to view Meryl as the first rays of sun fell on him. He blinked, not entirely sure he was awake yet.]

Insurance girl?...

[Meryl blinks.]

[Long pause. Very long pause while Vash begins tearing up.]

Hey...you're alive again.

[...she clenches the fabric of the sheets as she looks away.]

Of-of -course- I am....

Everyone does ....idiot.

[But her hands are shaking as she stares at the sheets. Tears in her own eyes.]

[Vash doesn't say a word at this point. He simply wraps arms around Meryl, hugging her tight.]

Where else would I work? [her mun Mayfield thought it would be delighfully ironic to have her kill flowers for a living. She's smiling pleasantly because that's what you do with customers and also people in Mayfield need cheering up after this last... massacre and also it's nice to see a familiar face.]

Well I'm apparently a "secretary" and I know other people got jobs they didn't like here as well.

Do you like working with plants?

I do like it, for the most part. I was a biologist in my home universe, and, well. Since I can commune with plants, they really have no secrets from me.

Although it's more difficult here since I haven't gotten that part of my powers back, and I don't know everything there is to know about Earth flora.
