Report Two: Exploring

[For the past few weeks Meryl has mostly kept to herself, still trying to understand everything that was going on and trying to get used to all the green everywhere. Today you can find her in a few places.

A. In the park you can find a woman practising her shooting. She's got a few tin cans set up on some rocks and taking aim at them with the gun she got from Nina. She's a very good shot.

B. In the flower store. She's buying some random flowers for the house. They look nice alright? Even if she doesn't seem like the sort of person who'd like flowers.

C. Looking at the pool in the rec center....you ...can swim in water? Isn't that a waste?]

I see. That kind of bank would go bankrupt where I'm from.

[identity profile] derringerous.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Well as long as people pay their insurance fee's we don't go bankrupt. No matter how many disasters we have.

But my job is usually to go and make sure that the claims are legit and that people aren't trying to get free money. I work with another agent of the company named Milly Thompson.

So if an entire planet was razed, you'd be able to pay out? Where'd you get all that money from.

[identity profile] derringerous.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
A planet?

I think if the planet was destroyed we'd have a little more to worry about then insurance.

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
It happens quite a bit. Then again, there are more planets out there than I can count.

[identity profile] derringerous.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Well we don't have to worry about other planets. Were stranded on Gunsmoke anyway.

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
Let me know if you need a lift off. I'm sure I can get a transport going your way.

[identity profile] derringerous.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure we'd all be happy for a lift. But we're probably not from the same universe.

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
I'm coming to understand that but it's a shame. I wouldn't mind spending a couple weeks in the Warp to come grab you off a planet.

[identity profile] derringerous.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
[She laughs.]

That's nice of you to say. But I'm probably one of the ones who would stay. Gunsmoke isn't much, but it's home.

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Doesn't mean you couldn't travel on vacation. Though, with a planet name like Gunsmoke, I don't recommend you travel to Valhalla.

[identity profile] derringerous.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Valhalla? What's that like?

[identity profile] derringerous.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
[She blinks...]

An entire planet made of ice?

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Mostly. It was probably a decent place until it moved too far away from its sun. Then it froze.

[identity profile] derringerous.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Wow...that's...Amazing.

Do people live on it?

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Plenty of them. I'm currently attached to the 597th Valhallan Regiment in the Imperial Guard.

[identity profile] derringerous.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
What's it like living on an ice planet?

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Cold. These guys turn the air conditioning to below freezing when they travel.

[identity profile] derringerous.livejournal.com 2011-04-27 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
No wonder.

You're right. I probably wouldn't like the place. I'm finding it cold here now and then.

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-04-27 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
It's been perfect for me so far.
